KAUMMUSLIM.COM - The history of the hijra story of the prophet Muhammad SAW tomadinah is part of the history of Islam where in that time, the prophet Muhammad left Mecca & determined to continue the spread of Islam inmadinah. This journey took place in approximately June 622 and ended when Mecca was successfully controlled by the Muslim army in 630.
There were several events that occurred before the prophet Muhammad SAW decreed to emigrate to Medina where the first was the Year of Sorrow because of the death of Khadijah, his wife and Abu Talib, his uncle. The 2nd incident is the claim of the prophetMuhammad SAW who stated that he had experienced a thing called Isra'Miraj, a spiritual journey to the Aqsa Mosque.
The next incident was the Aqabah treaty that created many Muslims to immigrate towards Abyssinia/Habasayah (Now Named Ethiopia). The last incident was an attempted loss of life against the prophet Muhammad SAWwhich failed miserably.
The Time of Prophet Muhammad SAW BeforeHijrah
Before the history of the hijra of the prophet Muhammad SAW to Medina occurred, the prophet Muhammad SAW left in Mecca for 52 years of his life starting according to the time when he was born. ProphetMuhammad SAW who had become an orphan according to mini began to be known as an honest & impartial merchant and because of this he was also often called to help solve cases.
Because of his reputation as an honest person, Muhammad's name became increasingly known & attracted the attention of a Widow to Mecca named Khadijah binti Khuwaylid. Khadijah visited the prophet Muhammad SAW with the aim that Muhammad would be able to hold his large operations in Syria which were extraordinaryly carried out by the prophet Muhammad SAW.
After the prophet Muhammad SAW returned from Syria, Khadijah proposed to him, and this incident without anyone knowing would later become one of the supporting stones for the history of the hijra of the prophet Muhammad SAW to Medina.
ProphetMuhammad SAW received the command to be an apostle & spread the religion of Allah which also happened before his trip to Medina when he was ascetically being teased by Hira to question his own spirituality. At that time, suddenly the angel Gabriel arrived and told the prophet Muhammad SAW to read theayat that would later be known from sura al-Alaq verses 1 to five.
After the completion of the first revelation according to Allah, the prophet Muhammad SAW began to travel throughout Arabia to peddle the new beliefs he had brought. In those days, the prophet Muhammad SAW met with poly rejection by the Arabs where muhammad was harassed or the most extreme was the killing of muslims.
The history of the hijra of the prophet Muhammad SAW to Medina only really began with the occurrence of the Year of Sorrow, which is a hijri year that occurred around 619 or 623. This incident was marked by the death of his beloved wife, Khadijah, along with his uncle, Abu Talib.
With the death of Abu Talib, the protection of the prophet Muhammad SAW began to decrease in accordance with the initial strategy of Abu Lahabyang intending to kill the prophet Muhammad SAW. Another part that as the reason why the prophet Muhammad SAW moved the place of Muslim activity to another location was because the prophet Muhammad SAW experienced what he referred to asIsra' Mi'raj & told it to the followers.
One of the things that ledNabi Muhhammad to perform the hijra in 622 based on Makkah to Yastrib 320 kilometres (200 miles) north of Mecca which later changed its name as Medina was that there was a murder scenario on the Prophet Muhammad, with Abu Bakr al-Shiddiq the Prophet emigrated. In this period of hijra he once confided in a cave. Caves in the Indonesian dictionary are translated as burrows or large holes at the foot of the mountain, in Arabic they are considered gar or kahf.
There are two very historical caves in the life of the Prophet, namely the Hira cave & the Tsur cave. The Cave of Hira is a place of contemplation of the Prophet, that is where the Prophet Muhammad SAW received revelation according to Allahwhich was the first time through the angel Gabriel.
According to wikipedia, the location of theHira cave in saudi Arabia, precisely in a cliff that is uphill is a bit steep even though it is not too high, therefore to get to the cave it must have a strong physique. As for the cave of Tsur is, the part based on one of the incidents won in the episode of the Apostle's hijra to Medina.
The Tsur Cave was used as a resting place and hiding place for the Apostle and Abu Bakr from the pursuit of the infidels of Quraysh for three nights. Tsur Cave still exists in JabalTsur, approximately 6 km south of the Grand Mosque. To get there it is necessary to stay there for 1.5 hours.
Before the Prophet established the hijramenuju Medina - where his noble personality was known and famous there -along with sayyidina Abu Bakr al-Shiddiq, the Prophet Muhammad by Allah's permission already knew the leaders of the Quraysh who prepared the mighty young men who from each of the Quraysh caravans to kill the Prophet Muhammad SAW. for all the caravans of Quraysh were involved in the healing.
Subsequently, on a planned night, the executioners surrounded the abode of the Prophet SAW. The Messenger of Allah realized that & surrendered completely to Allah. One of the apostle's ways is prayer, because prayer is a way that is empowered to get help and salvation from Allah Almighty exclusively.
After the prayer, the Prophet SAW met Ali bin Abi Tahlib telling him to sleep in the bed and use the blanket he used. With full faith that the Apostle will be safe & get the help of Allah Almighty.he also left the residence. It is said that the Prophet Muhammad had sowed soft sand on the heads of the executioners, while reciting the QS verse. Yasin verse 9 "And We put before them the wall and behind them the wall (also), andWe close (eyes) them so that they cannot see." By the power of Allah, no one according to the executioner who besieged saw the travel of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Not only here, on his way to Medina, after the pagan executioners of Quraysh witnessed the one lying on the bedhouse was sayyidina Ali ibn Abi Talib, not ProphetMuhammad SAW. The Apostle was also very aware that the executioners would pursue him. Thus, the Prophet chose to rest and hide in the cave of Tsur and Abu Bakr, while always begging for help, and the protection of Allah Almighty. As His revelation "iyyaka na'budu wa iyyakanasta'in."
Quraish Infidels Seek the Prophet's Whereabouts In Tsur Cave
The pagan executioners of Quraysh continued to search where the Prophet Muhammad went, there was seen a herder, he asked. "It's possible that they were in that cave, but I didn't see anyone heading there." Answer. Abu Bakr sweated When he heard the pastoralist's answer, & thumped his heart beat even more when he saw the swords carried by the perfect executioners in his mouth. Abu Bakr addressed the Prophet, and the Prophet Muhammad whispered in his ear: "Do not grieve, Allah is with us."
The executioner who had gone up the mountain was perfect on the expression of the cave and then went down again. "Why don't you visit the cave?" asked his comrade." There is a cobweb in that place, which has indeed existed since before Muhammad was born," he replied." I saw that there were 2 forest pigeons in the cave hole. So I knew there was no one there." The executioners also confirmed that in the cave there was no one at all when there was a branch of a tree that drooped on the mouth. If there is any one who will enter into it, surely it will be to dispel the branches, and the nest of those advantages. In the end, the executioners returned to Makkah. At that time, Abu Bakr's faith grew in size and strength to Allah and His Messenger.
The above event is recorded on QS.al-Taubah: 40, "If you do not help him (Muhammad) Then Verily Allah has helped him (i.e.) when the infidels (musyrikins of Mecca) took him out (from Mecca) while being misled by two when both were in the cave, when he said to his friend: "Thou shalt not mourn, Verily Allah and us." So Allah sent down His message to (Muhammad) and helped him with soldiers that you did not see, and the Quran made those infidels that are low. - the sentence of God That is the high. Allah is all-mighty again all-wise."
