KAUMMUSLIM.COM - Muhammad bin Abdullah (Arab/Jawi: مُحَمَّد بِن عَبْد الله; is considered [mʊħɑmmæd] (listen)) (570 M-8 June 632 C.E.][1] is a leader of Arab faith, social, and politics and the founder of Islam. [2] He was a prophet & apostle who was christened by Islam. [three] Better known as Muhammad (Arab/Jawi: محمد) or Prophet Muhammad (Arab/Jawi: نَبِي مُحَمَّد), he is the leader who united the Arabian Peninsula in a single state under Islamic rule. [4] Muhammad was considered the Muslim to be the restorer of the monotheistic faith of the teachings of the former prophets brought by the Prophet Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and other prophets.

Born in Makkah, Arabian Peninsula,[9][10] he was an orphan from an early age where he was cared for by his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib bin Hasyim & his uncle, Abu Talib bin Abdul Muttalib. He also worked as a goat shepherd and merchant and his first marriage was at the age of 25 when he was married to Khadijah binti Khuwailid (40 years old). His family practised the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim AS. When Muhammad was 40 years old, he received the first revelation from God through the angel Gabriel (the same angel revealed the revelation of Allah to the five Apostles of Ulul Azmi) while in the Cave of Hira. Three years after the event, he began preaching openly to the people of Makkah using the saying "God is One" and should surrender to Allah fully (literally meaning Islam) & it is a way of life (الدين ad-Din) that is accepted by Allah alone.

Muhammad received several followers in his early days consisting of various factions. The teachings brought by him were met with great opposition among the people of Makkah and they were treated with severe and tyrants. Thus, Muhammad sent some of his followers to Ethiopia in 614 C.E. before he & his other followers in Makkah Hijrah#Hijrah to محمد كان آخر نبي to Medina (formerly known as Yathrib) in 622 C.E. Muhammad's migration event indicates the beginning of the Islamic calendar or hijrah calendar. In Medina, Muhammad had united the entire tribe under the Charter of Medina.

After a dispute with the people of Makkah for 8 years, he brought his 10,000 followers to Makkah and opened it. Muhammad & his followers have destroyed the idols that still exist in Makkah. [11] In 632 C.E., a few months after محمد كان آخر نبي Haji Wida or Haji Perpisahan, Muhammad had fallen ill and then died. At the time of his death, almost the entire Arabian Peninsula was under the auspices of Islam & united with its intact (May 6, 570M or even April 20/April 26, 571M). His mother, Aminah binti Wahab, is the daughter of Wahab bin Abdul Manaf of Zahrah's family. His father, Abdullah, was the son of Abdul Muthalib. His descendants are said to be based on the Prophet Ishmael, the son of Abraham, about the fortieth lineage.

His father had died before his birth. While his mother died when he was about six years old, he made him an orphan. According to the tradition of Mecca's upper familial family, she has been nurtured by an adoptive mother (milk bunda:-the woman who breastfed her) named Halimahtus Sa'adiah حلمة السعديه in her hometown in the mountains for several years. In those years, he was taken to Makkah to visit his mother. After his mother died, he was taken care of by his grandfather, Abdul Muthalib. When his grandfather died, he was taken care of by his uncle, Abu Talib. This is when he once helped shepherd his uncle's goats in about Mecca & regularly accompanied his uncle

Muhammad[13] was born in the city of Mecca[14] about 570[15] and his birthday is believed to be in the month of Rabi' al-awwal. [16] He belonged to the Bani Hasyim clan, part of the Quraysh tribe, which was the cause of one of Mecca's leading families. [17] [18] The year of Muhammad's birth was the equivalent of using the Year of the Elephant, named after the failed attempt to destroy the city of Mecca that year by Abrahah, the king of Yemen, where his army used elephants as weapons. [19] [20] [21] Some scholars of the 20th century have already proposed different years, such as 568 or 569.

Muhammad's father, Abdullah, was killed almost six months before Muhammad was born. [23] Immediately after the birth, she was sent to live with the Bedouin family in the desert, as desert life was considered healthier for the baby. [24] Muhammad lived with her adoptive mother, Halimah binti Abi Dhuayb, and her husband until she was 2 years old. At the age of six, Muhammad lost his birth mother Amina to illness and became an orphan. [24] [25] For the next two years as a result he was eight years old, Muhammad was under the care of his father's grandfather Abd al-Muttalib, from the Bani Hasyim clan until his death. He was then under the care of his uncle Abu Talib, the new leader of Bani Hasyim. [26]

In his teens, Muhammad accompanied his uncle on a trade trip to Syria to gain experience in commercial trade. [27] When Muhammad was 9 or 12 years old while escorting a Meccan caravan to Syria, they passed a monk named Buhaira (also known by the name Bahira),[28] who was a member of the Bible. Buhaira is said to have predicted Muhammad's prophethood. [29] He looked & stared at Muhammad then he conveyed to Abu Talib:

Return your nephew to your land & beware of the Jews, for by Allah's sake, if they see him or know the one I know, they will make him suffer, for he will have a great relationship with your nephew, which we find in our book and what we inherited from our fathers.

Little is known about Muhammad during his youth because the information available is fragmented, making it difficult to separate history from legends. [30] It is known that he was a trader and was "involved in trade between the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea." [31] Due to his morals, he received the title "al-Amin" (Arabic: الامين), which means "loyal, honest" & "al-Sadiq" which means "trust" [32] & sought as an unbiased arbitrator. [33] [34] [35] His reputation drew a proposal from Khadijah, a successful business expert, in 595. Muhammad agreed to marry & the marriage was a happy marriage. [31] Khadijah was the first woman to marry the late Muhammad and he married another woman until Khadijah died globally. [36]

A few years later, from a narration collected by the historian Ibn Ishaq, Muhammad was involved with the story of Hajar Aswad's placement on the wall of the Kaaba in 605 AD. Hajar Aswad, the holy object, was removed during the renovation of the Kaaba. The leaders of Mecca could not agree on which faction should return Hajar Aswad to his place.

They decided to ask the next man who came through the door to make that decision; That man means 35-year-old Muhammad. This event took place 5 years before the first revelation of Jibril to him. He asked for a cloth & put Hajar Aswad in the middle. The leaders of the clan held the corner of the fabric and together brought Hajar Aswad to the true loka, then Muhammad laid the stone.

When he was about 25 years old, his uncle suggested that he work with a caravan owned by a widow named Khadijah. He was accepted to work & responsible for the voyage to Syam (Syria). He managed the deal using the full force and went on to use extraordinary profits.
